Music
At
Second Presbyterian Church, music is an integral part of
worship. We
are fortunate to have a magnificent pipe organ and a grand piano for
the sanctuary, and two gifted musicians to play them: Joe Adkins and
Bobbie Kesler-Corleto.
Our Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00. From classical to contemporary, gospel to spirituals, the choir offers praise to God and helps lead the congregation in worship. All who love to sing are invited; auditions are not necessary. Jeff Garris is the choir director, and Bobbie Kesler-Corleto serves as accompanist.
Second Presbyterian is committed to community involvement in all areas, including music. We host the Virginia Chorale, Commonwealth Community Children's Chorus, Tidewater Music Teachers Association, and piano recitals.
