Young Adults
In most mainline churches, the demographic is pretty common. There is an abundance of seniors and families. Those who fall into any other category are often overlooked. This past year, Second Pres began a small group targeted at those who are between 25 and 40 years old. Participants are made up of members of the SPC family and other churches, as well. Attendees are married and single. We do ask that folks with children participate in one of our Parent’s Groups [rather than this group that targets those without kids].
The group meets at Second Pres on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 7:30P until 9P. They recently started a study of John Ortberg’s wonderful book “God is Closer Than You Think”. This study includes a DVD lesson and discussion which makes it valuable even for those who don’t always have time for the reading.
